Linseed tea
Linseed tea is one of the best way to aid hydration in the body. It is a drink with a mix of water, oils, and fiber. As a result of this, it gives a strong signal of hydration to the gut which in our body holds the signal of hydration.
Honestly, the first times I tried this it took a while to adapt to its taste, but after a few days I was addicted to it. After two weeks I started feeling insanely better.
One litre of linseed tea per day is recommended. Here is the recipe
You will need
1 thermos
1 tbsp of grounded linseeds. (It is better to grind them yourself. However, if you don't have a grinder you may purchase them already grounded)
500mL of boiling water
Preparation
Place the tbsp of grounded linseeds in the thermos
Add the boiling water to the thermos
Close and shake.
Wait 30min
The linseed tea is ready to drink
If you don't have a thermos, this is the recipe to follow.
2 tablespoons of linseeds in 1liter of water in a pan.
Bring linseeds to the boil, turn off heat, cover and leave for 10 minutes Bring back the water to the boil and very gently simmer, covered for 10-15 minutes. Strain and throw away the seeds
Fill a mug or glass 1/3 full of linseed tea and top up with cold water or herbal tea-mix well and drink. Put the rest in the fridge, covered when it has cooled.
It may become slightly thickened, with a gel-like consistency, when it cools down. For future drinks: Fill 1/3 cup/glass in a cup and top up with hot water. Mix and drink. It will last 2-3 days in a fridge.
You drink linseed tea between meals. Some effects are
Helping bowel movements
Soothing the gastrointestinal area
Balancing blood sugar levels
Restore hydration
Reduce stress and anxiety
